The Vanke mall in Shanghai just opened a "husband nursery" over the weekend. It's encouraging people to deposit their husbands there while they go shopping.

The room has amenities such as comfy chairs, a TV, a fridge stocked with refreshments and even a massage chair.

In Chinese, the room's name "老公寄存室" translates to the amusing but perhaps more accurate "husband storage room."

On Weibo, China's version of Twitter, people seem to think it's a great idea.

"I see there's a baby chair there, my compliments!" said a female user.

"This is good, I wouldn't be afraid to be dragged along to the mall by my wife if I could be there," said dusk_rain.

Some wondered if having the nursery defeats the purpose of spending the day out with your partner. "This spoils the shopping experience," said Wang Meng Yao.

One female user added: "Is there a wife nursery? I don't like shopping."
